My wife and I are Iowans both by birth and by choice. We both grew up in small towns in Eastern 
Iowa. We both had educational and work opportunities in other states. We both decided that we wanted to plant our roots and raise a family in Eastern Iowa so that our child will have the same opportunities we had growing up.
I have seen many friends and classmates leave Iowa for better paying jobs or career opportunities they could not find here at home. I am running for the Legislature because I want to create chances for the next generation of Iowans to link their futures with this state.
